Day 2 | Kangaroo and Whale Watching

Get close to nature on your second day by taking an easy hike along Look at Me Now Headland, and appreciate the fabulous scenic views it offers. This is also a perfect place where you can do Kangaroo Watching.

Anytime of the year you may see eastern grey kangaroos here lazing around where they inhabit the reserve. You may take a picnic while appreciating the kangaroos from a distance as they nibble on the grass.

Day 3 | Surfing, Swimming and Snorkelling

Your day will be full by visiting the popular Bellingen Markets which is one of Australia’s largest regional markets which are only held once every 3rd Saturday of the month. There are over 280 stalls with great find products such as local arts & crafts, fresh produce and a wide selection of food and drinks while enjoying shopping live music is also played on the main stage by local and national musicians adding to the warm atmosphere this place offers.

To make your day even more worthwhile, just nearby you may take a stroll to The Never Never Creek. It runs from the plateau through the Promised Land – passing close to Promised Land Retreat. Day 6 | Muttonbird Island Walk and Enjoy a Fine Wine & Seafood Lunch at Latitude 30 Restaurant

The Muttonbird Island Nature Reserve Walk is suitable for most ages and fitness levels. Learn about cultural significance of the Aborigins or do whale watching in the heart of Coffs Harbour. Day 7 | Drive to Orara Valley

A drive to Orara Valley is a great way to end your memorable vacation, it is part of the incredibly beautiful Coffs Harbour hinterland. A short peaceful drive west via West High Street and Coramba Road could lead you to the charming and historic village (1880) of Coramba about 15km out of town. Just another 10km drive you’ll find Two Tails Winery located on the left hand side just before you enter the village of Nana Glen. You can go wine tasting with the range of wines at the cellar door or enjoy a Spanish Tapas style lunch at Velvets Restaurant. When you turn right in the centre of Nana Glen towards Bucca and Moonee Beach you’ll see a nice park with picnic tables. This is a perfect place to have peace and quiet or just have your snack on the picnic table while reading your favorite book.

Continue driving on to Glenreagh and Grafton or take Bucca Road through the Wedding Bells State Forest for about 23km until you are at the Pacific Highway, just 10 minutes more of driving and you’ll be back to Coffs Harbour. While driving I’m sure you will take time to stop, breathe some fresh air and admire the views of the pretty hinterland.
